Career Transition For Dancers is a national service organization that provides programs and services dancers need to achieve their personal and professional goals in their post performance careers.  Through cooperative programming – career counseling, financial assistance, and career resources – the organization helps dancers actively envision, pursue, and achieve post performance career advancement and economic self-sufficiency.  Career Transition For Dancers reaches out to dance students, apprentices, pre-professionals, and professional dancers to heighten their awareness of the organization and understand the necessity of career planning both while performing and following retirement from the stage and/or screen.

Allied with dance companies, musical theatre productions, television studios, and film establishments nationwide, Career Transition For Dancers is the only arts-service organization in the United States dedicated to the planning and post performance needs of dancers nationwide – entirely free of charge.
